Fine Grinding Filtration

MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system is a recoil filtration system, used to separate ultra-fine particles in oil and other media, and is very suitable for grinding carbide tools and high speed steel (HSS) tools. In addition to serving standardized plants with single or multiple machine tools, it can also provide centralized filtration systems required in all production areas. Especially for areas with high requirements such as less than 5 microns filtration accuracy, MicroPur® ultra-fine filtration system is very ideal and suitable. For the treatment of abrasive debris, the MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system can collect almost 100% of abrasive material with very high value. MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system has an energy-saving and automated control system, without the need to filter consumables.

MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system adopts backwashing filtration unit. The filtration unit adopts modular design, and the number of filtration units can be configured according to the flow demand. According to grinding requirements, each filter unit can use the following filter cartridges for different applications:
● Filtration accuracy 1–2 μm, filtration area 3.4 m2, maximum filtration flow rate 60 liters / min. It is used for grinding fine-grained carbide steel and micron-sized granular wheels <D25 (FEPA standard).
● Filtration accuracy 3–5 μm, filtration area 3.3 m2, maximum filtration flow rate 60 liters / min. It is used for grinding standard carbide steel, high-speed steel and micron-sized particle grinding wheels> D25 (FEPA standard).
● Filtration accuracy <10 μm, filtration area 3.2 m2, maximum filtration flow rate 60 liters / min, used for grinding high-speed steel and cast iron materials.

The MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system adopts a modular design. Each filtration tank can accommodate two standard filter cartridges placed vertically. The filtration capacity of a single filtration tank is 120 liters / minute. The system's standard filtration module contains four sets of filtration tanks, with a total flow rate of up to 480 liters / minute. Each filter module can be maintained separately without affecting the work of other modules, easy to install and easy to expand. The unique modular design makes it possible to use MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system for both single grinding machine and grinding production line. Through redundant design, pre-planning to reserve space, and adding filtering modules at any time, the filtering capacity of the system can be expanded at the lowest cost.

Filtration Cycle

The working cycle of MicroPur® ultra-fine filtration system includes filtration process and regeneration process. During the grinding process of the machine tool, MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system spends most of its time in the filtration process. At this time the coolant inlet valve opens and the outlet valve closes, the grinding coolant enters from the upper part of the filter cartridge and outflow from the bottom. According to the different characteristics of the filter element configured by the system, the corresponding abrasive debris and impurities can be filtered out. The filtered clean coolant is returned to the clean liquid tank of the filter system and is re-used by the machine tool.

Backflush Cycle

MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system can pre-set the value of pressure difference between the inside and outside of the filter cartridge as a sign to start the regeneration process. As the filtration time of the system and the cumulative throughput of the coolant increase, the amount of abrasive debris remaining in the filter cartridge will also increase, this will cause the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the filter cartridge to rise continuously and the regeneration process will be started accordingly. During the regeneration process, the coolant inlet valve is closed and the outlet valve is opened. The clean coolant in the coolant cleaning tank will be pumped back into the filter cartridge in the reverse direction to remove the abrasive debris from the filter cartridge, clean the filter cartridge and remove particles back into the dirt tank. Because MicroPur® ultra-precision filtration system has a backwash function, the filter cartridge can be regenerated which greatly increases the working life of filter cartridge.
